Episode 083 – BONUS SHOW – Reign of Terror Haunted House | Bruce Stanton | Voted #1 Walk Through Haunted House In Southern CA | And It Is Non-Profit
ON THIS EPISODE
Bruce Stanton has been enamored with haunted houses since he was a kid – setting up his own neighborhood halloween haunts. Upon moving to Thousand Oaks, CA he decided to ramp that childhood love for haunted houses up 100 notches. Starting as a front lawn set up to later morphing into his full house open for multiple days leading up to Halloween with over 4,000 people coming through his home.
Obviously he was onto something, his talent, passion and love for this was felt by the entire community.
So, with an amazing partnership with the ownership and management of the Janss Marketplace retail center in Thousand Oaks CA, Bruce was offered about 5,000 square feet in the center to host the community haunted house. Calling it Reign of Terror Haunted House.
Years later now, the haunted house has grown to 23,000 square feet, about half the size of a full football field! It has grown also in attractions. With over 8 separate attractions to hit on 8 separate fears, combined within 100 bone-chilling rooms and areas. It takes about 30 minutes to get through the entire scare filled arena.
It is now voted the #1 walk through haunted house in all of Southern California with over 10,000 people will come through the haunted house.
And here is the kicker.
Reign of Terror is a not for profit, with all profits going to the Conejo Recreation and Park District to benefit the Teen Center and the Theater Group of Thousand Oaks. Over $200,000 have been raised so far from the haunted house.
